VI Peel chemical peel being applied with a brush at LightTouch Med Spa Orlando

VI Peel® in Orlando

The VI Peel® is a medical-grade chemical peel that refreshes dull, damaged skin in about a week. At LightTouch Med Spa in Orlando, we offer the full VI Peel family, so your peel is matched to your skin, whether your main concern is sun damage, melasma, acne, fine lines, or rough texture.

Unlike many strong peels, the VI Peel is designed to be safe for all skin types and tones, and the application itself takes about 20 to 30 minutes with little to no discomfort. You go home with the peel on your skin, follow a simple aftercare kit, and watch fresh, brighter skin appear as the old layer sheds. It pairs well with our HydraFacial®, microneedling, and Botox® for a complete skin refresh. You can also compare all of our chemical peel options.

What Is the VI Peel?

The VI Peel blends proven exfoliating and brightening ingredients, including TCA, salicylic acid, phenol, retinoic acid, and vitamin C. Together they loosen dead, damaged skin cells and encourage the skin to renew itself, stimulating collagen for firmer, smoother skin over time.

How Does It Work?

The peel solution is layered onto clean skin and left on for several hours. Around day three, the top layer begins to peel and flake, usually finishing by day seven. As it sheds, it reveals newer skin with more even tone, fewer visible spots, and refined texture. Most patients do a series of peels every four to six weeks.

Which VI Peel Is Right for You?

During your free consultation, our team will recommend the peel that fits your goals:

  • VI Peel Original: our starting point for dullness, mild sun damage, fine lines, and uneven texture.
  • VI Peel Advanced: a stronger formula for deeper signs of aging, wrinkles, and loss of glow.
  • VI Peel Precision Plus: targets stubborn hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun spots, and age spots.
  • VI Peel Purify: designed for acne-prone and oily skin, active breakouts, and acne scarring.
  • VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus: treats acne and post-acne dark marks at the same time.
  • VI Peel Body: treats the chest, back, arms, hands, and legs for sun damage, bumpy skin, and uneven tone.

Benefits of the VI Peel

  • Brighter, more even skin tone in about one week
  • Fades the look of sun spots, age spots, freckling, and melasma
  • Clears congestion and helps control breakouts
  • Softens fine lines and improves rough texture
  • Safe for all skin types and tones, including darker skin
  • Minimal discomfort and no needles
  • Pairs well with microneedling, SkinPen®, and Opus Plasma® for a complete skin plan

Who Is a Good Candidate?

The VI Peel is a great fit if you live with sun damage from the Florida sun, melasma, acne or acne marks, enlarged pores, or skin that simply looks tired. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if you have an active cold sore or open wounds in the treatment area, or if you have a known allergy to aspirin or phenol. Let us know about any medications, including retinoids or isotretinoin, during your consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions About the VI Peel

Does the VI Peel hurt?

Most patients feel mild tingling or a brief warm sensation when the peel is applied. It typically fades within a few minutes, and no numbing or needles are needed.

How long will I peel?

Peeling usually begins around day three and is typically finished by day seven. Your first VI Peel may peel slightly longer than later ones.

How long does the VI Peel stay on my skin?

The solution stays on for several hours after your appointment. Your provider will tell you exactly when to wash it off and when to use your aftercare products.

Is the VI Peel safe for darker skin tones?

Yes. The VI Peel is formulated for all skin types and tones, which makes it a popular choice for treating hyperpigmentation and melasma in darker skin.

Which VI Peel is best for melasma or dark spots?

VI Peel Precision Plus is designed for stubborn pigment, melasma, and sun spots. Your provider will confirm the best option during your consultation.

Which VI Peel is best for acne?

VI Peel Purify is made for acne-prone and oily skin, and Purify with Precision Plus also treats the dark marks acne can leave behind.

How many VI Peels will I need?

Many patients see a visible difference after one peel. For melasma, acne, or deeper sun damage, a series of three to four peels spaced four to six weeks apart usually gives the best results.

I am really itchy, what do I do?

Itching is normal while your skin heals. Use the post-treatment cream from your aftercare kit and avoid scratching or picking the peeling skin.

Can I wear makeup after a VI Peel?

Avoid makeup for the rest of the day of your peel. After you wash the peel off, you can usually return to light mineral makeup, but let your skin finish peeling naturally.

Can I combine the VI Peel with other treatments?

Yes. The VI Peel pairs well with Botox, dermal fillers, microneedling, and HydraFacial. Your provider will space treatments appropriately for your skin.
