What Is Sculptra®?

How long does Sculptra last?
In clinical studies, results lasted up to 2 years after the final session. Many patients choose a single touch-up session every year or two to maintain them.
When will I see results?
Gradually. Initial swelling makes skin look fuller right away, then fades within days. Visible improvement builds over the following weeks and months as new collagen forms.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients need about 3 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart, though some need up to 4 depending on how much volume has been lost.
Does Sculptra hurt?
Most patients feel mild pressure or pinching. We offer numbing, and lidocaine can be mixed in when the product is prepared.
What are the side effects?
The most common are swelling, tenderness, redness, pain, bruising, bleeding, itching and lumps at the injection site, usually resolving within a few days to two weeks. Small bumps under the skin can appear later, which is why following the massage instructions matters. Rare but serious risks include injection into a blood vessel, so choose an experienced injector.
Who should not get Sculptra?
Sculptra is not for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring, have a history of severe allergies, or are allergic to its ingredients (poly-L-lactic acid, carboxymethylcellulose or mannitol).
Is Sculptra the same as filler?

Can I combine Sculptra with Botox or filler?
Yes. Many patients pair Sculptra with Botox for expression lines and filler for lips or precise contouring, usually on separate visits.
Will people be able to tell I had something done?
Usually not. Because results build gradually from your own collagen, most people simply notice you look refreshed, rested or healthy.
What is the best age to start Sculptra?
Many patients start in their 30s to 50s when they first notice volume loss or thinning skin, but there is no single right age. It is about your skin and goals, which we assess at your consultation.
Can Sculptra help with facial volume loss after weight loss?
Yes. Experienced injectors use Sculptra off-label to gradually restore facial volume lost after significant weight loss, including weight loss with GLP-1 medications.
Is Sculptra permanent?
No. The poly-L-lactic acid is gradually absorbed by the body, but the collagen it helps you build can keep results going for up to 2 years.
How is Sculptra different from Radiesse?
